Jackson Hole, Wyoming. A cowboy town-turned mountain haven for the aspirational and adventurous. Flanked by the soaring Grand Teton range, it has long drawn in mountaineers, ranchers and those who appreciate a good old grand American vista, including the black and white godfather of towering American landscapes, Ansel Adams, who regularly documented the mountains, plains and cold waters of the state during his lifetime and legendary career.
Born in Jackson, Rocky Mountain Featherbed made its name crafting down-filled jackets with Western-style leather yokes, expertly marrying the area’s alpine and cowboy influences. We are proud to be an exclusive stockist of these superb outdoor jackets, which are today made in Japan to the same exacting standards as the American originals from the 1970s. A new style for the transitional season, the Mountain Parka boasts that same instantly-recognisable silhouette with a single-piece Western-style yoke. Cut in Japan from tri-layered nylon that is both waterproof and water permeable with a cotton-like texture, the high collar contains a concealed hood, while slanted breast pockets, large flap front pockets with hand warmer pockets to the side and a rear map pocket provide plenty of storage.
The parka is finished with drawstring adjusters to the hem and waist, a two-way YKK zip and nickel snap buttons. A rugged piece of Americana outerwear refracted through a discerning Japanese lens.
