Each month, we're asking the staff from our stores in London, New York City and Seoul for the pieces they've worn the most. First up is a selection that features lightweight outerwear and denim, Summer sweatshirts and conveniently visible fleece.
Yellow Cotton Oxford Cloth Button-Down Shirt
JL, Retail
"There was a time when the yellow OCBD sat with white, pink and blue in the pantheon of staple shirting. While that has fallen somewhat by the wayside since those days, as an absolute Ivy style classic, the yellow Oxford pairs beautifully with a striped repp tie and a navy blazer in a way that doesn’t make you resemble a security guard. I’ll also wear this untucked with a pair of swimmers and boat shoes for a bit of a Martha’s Vineyard feel, weather permitting."
SHOP SHIRTS
Orange Boucle Wool Zip Fleece Jacket
LJ, Copy
"I live by the sea, and while it is great sitting in the sun with a lager top on the wharf, come sundown, it tends to get a bit nippy, so I’ll whip out the fleece, the rescue orange colour can also be handy after a few."
SHOP FLEECES
Stone Wash 10.7oz Lightweight Denim Five-Pocket Jeans
BP, Ecommerce
"Many’s the time I’ve been left sweltering on the Central line in my selvedge denim. As I’m in jeans most of the time, this pair have been a lifesaver. Weighing in at a modest 10.7oz, these’ll keep me in indigo until it’s time to break out my heavyweight pair, which are damn-near bulletproof."
SHOP DENIM
Indigo Short Sleeve Crew Neck Cotton Sweatshirt
FR, Marketing
"Not all sweaters are born equal. As I’m always pushing my sleeves up in the quest for a perfect trucker’s tan, this is ideal with a short sleeve tee underneath, I also like rolling a shirt sleeve way up underneath when I want to feel like Gene Kelly in An American in Paris."
SHOP CASUALWEAR
Green Waxed Lightweight Coverall Jacket
CP, Ecommerce
"This is classed as the lightweight version because the original has a quilted lining and is made with a beefier waxed cotton. This is a jacket I can wear all year round, I can throw it over a suit, wear it with a T-shirt for a weekend ride (double zips are a biking essential) and I’m also feeling quietly smug for my upcoming trip to Orkney."
