Early Morning in Shibuya

If there’s a time when Shibuya, the frantic heart of a frantic city, eases off a little bit, then it’s early on a Sunday morning. While you might spot a handful of stragglers looking slightly worse for wear after the previous evening’s activities, the shaded alleys and open crossings are mostly occupied by street sweepers and early risers, a precious couple of hours of (relative) peace and quiet before the city hums back into gear.
Featuring a few highlights from our spring collection—chore jackets in crisp cotton, colourful new polo shirts, fatigue trousers, Games tailoring and returning Perennial favourites like the jungle jacket and Japanese selvedge denim—we set our alarms (well, the jet lag did that for us) and took a long, slow walk through the city, with a final stop at Shibuya Crossing as the sun crested and the crowds filled the streets.
