While in Palm Springs late last year, shooting material for our SS20 lookbook, photographer Isaac Marley-Morgan rode the city's famous two-and-a-half mile tramway, creating a photo essay of the stunning Californian landscape.
"On the way up there they blast Ain't No Mountain High Enough inside the cab of the gondola, while the driver warns of the oncoming sway caused by going over the pylons. At some points you're almost travelling vertically. At the top you have amazing views over the whole over the Coachella Valley. It was 26 degrees down in Palm Springs and minus 3 at the top of the mountain above the clouds, where you're 4000 feet above sea level. You could make snowballs.
"At the top there are treks you can do to the opposite side of the summit, but we stuck to the bar (which had completely run out of draught beer) and had a few mountain-themed cocktails instead."
