A Conversation with Mayumi Yamase

When she was a student at Chelsea College of Arts in London, cramming into basement shows and pubs in the less salubrious side of town and putting on DIY exhibitions, Mayumi Yamase found it hard to imagine a world where painting and making art would pay the bills.

Tokyo Style

During a Drake’s visit to Tokyo, Creative Director Michael Hill took a few laps around the streets of Omotesando—a polished stretch of retail stores, konbinis and office blocks— wearing some highlights from the autumn collection. The Other Side of a Football Icon

We’re fascinated by liminal spaces because they exist on the edges of what we know and what we fear. It’s where we confront the quiet tension of waiting, the unease of not knowing what comes next. They force us to acknowledge that we are always in a process of becoming, and this ambiguity, though unsettling, is profoundly human. It also makes for really good photos.
